Absolutely love this wooden playpen! It's sturdy, safe, and looks beautiful in our living room. My toddler can play freely while I get things done nearby. Assembly was straightforward too. Five stars!

Unboxing this thing felt like opening a gift to myself even though it was obviously for the baby. The wood looked better than expected and didn’t have that weird smell some new stuff comes with. Setting it up was a little awkward at first because figuring out the shape adjustment took a second but once it clicked it made sense. The gate lock made a satisfying sound when it snapped into place and gave a little peace of mind that the kid wasn’t getting out without some effort. First test run was during breakfast and it actually kept my little explorer contained long enough for a hot meal and a sip of coffee that didn’t go cold. The space inside felt bigger than it looked in the photo which was a good surprise. Tried shaping it into a rectangle for a change one afternoon and it weirdly made the room look bigger even though it took up the same space. There’s a funny thing that happens when a baby has a space that’s theirs and they start dragging toys in like it’s a fort. It turned into a play zone with stuffed animals stacked like towers and a random spoon that’s apparently now a treasure. Wasn’t expecting the fence to survive a toddler tantrum but it held its ground like a champ while wobbling just enough to not tip. Even leaned against it myself out of habit and it didn’t move which wasn’t smart but still reassuring. Folding it down to move to another room felt smooth after a few practice rounds. Definitely didn’t see this becoming a daily setup but now it’s a regular thing and feels weird when it’s not there.
With a newborn and a toddler, I have zero time for assembly. This playpen saved the day! Beautiful, sturdy, and literally ready in under a minute.
